Karnataka domicile only

KCET is exclusively for Karnataka students (7+ years study in Karnataka or Kannada medium eligibility). Out-of-state students use COMEDK.

Separate papers — no negative marking

Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are tested in separate 80-minute papers with 60 MCQs each. 1 mark per question, no negative marking.

PUC syllabus based

Questions follow Karnataka 1st and 2nd PUC syllabus — closely aligned with NCERT. 80%+ overlap with JEE Main preparation.
