This predictor covers Maharashtra State CAP seats via MHT-CET only. It does not predict All-India (AI) seats filled through JEE Main. For JoSAA institutes use the JEE predictors. Predictions use historical CAP closing percentiles and are planning estimates — not official allotments.

Probability bands
High · Medium · Low · Very Low — how to read your shortlist
High
Your score/rank is comfortably inside recent closing cutoffs for that branch — historically a safer preference in early counselling rounds.
Medium
Close to the closing cutoff. Possible in later rounds or with category / domicile advantages — keep as a stretch + safety mix.
Low
Above typical closers. May open in sliding rounds or freeze years, but plan backups in Medium / High bands.
Very Low
Well above historical closers. Useful for awareness only — do not rely on these seats for counselling strategy.

How the MHT-CET CAP predictor works
Maharashtra CAP allots engineering and pharmacy seats using your MHT-CET merit, category, gender pool, and Home University region from your 12th district. Predictor First mirrors that logic with multi-year closing percentiles.
Enter your expected or official percentile (or State Merit Rank). We expand the CAP seat codes you can compete for — including HU, OU, State-level, Ladies, TFWS, EWS, and optional PWD / Defence / Orphan / Minority leftover seats.
Each college–branch–seat-code row is matched against historical CAP closers. Autonomous institutes typically use State-level (*S) codes; university-affiliated colleges use Home (*H) and Other (*O) university pools.
Results are planning estimates for Class 11–12 preference lists, not official allotments. This tool covers Maharashtra State CAP seats via MHT-CET only — not All-India seats filled through JEE Main.
What this page covers
- MHT-CET → Maharashtra CAP engineering & pharmacy seats
- Category, gender, and 12th district reshape HU / OU / State cutoffs
- High / Medium / Low / Very Low bands help build a balanced option form
- All-India (JEE Main) CAP seats are intentionally excluded — see disclaimer
Method
Percentile / SMR → eligible seat codes → CAP cutoff match
Your inputs expand to the CAP seat codes you can fill, then match multi-year blended closing percentiles (and merit numbers). Exact official PDFs from State CET Cell power the tables after ingest.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I use the MHT-CET college predictor?
- Enter your expected percentile or State Merit Rank, set category, gender, and the district of your 12th college, then review High / Medium / Low / Very Low options. Toggle TFWS / EWS / PWD if applicable.
- Does this include All-India (JEE Main) CAP seats?
- No. This predictor covers Maharashtra State CAP seats via MHT-CET only. All-India seats at government/aided colleges use JEE Main merit — use the JEE Main predictor for JoSAA institutes, and check CET Cell AI cutoffs separately for CAP AI seats.
- Is the MHT-CET predictor free?
- Yes, trying it is free. Sign up (also free) to see your complete shortlist, matching Predictor First.
- What is Home University (HU) vs Other University (OU)?
- Your 12th college district maps to a regional university. Seats at colleges under that university are HU for you; seats at colleges under other universities are OU. Autonomous institutes mostly use State-level seats.
